Data Update | Child Poverty 2016

13 December 2018

New data for the children in low income families local measure, has been released by HMRC .

Based on children in households in receipt of working and child tax credit and with an income less than 60% of median household income, these figures provide the best estimate of child poverty at local neighbourhood level.

While the figures show little change between 2015 and 2016 at Fife, Scotland, and at Area level, the local data shows increases in child poverty in some of Fife's already poorest areas.

To view these latest figures at a range of Fife Geographies, , including how the figures have changed over time you can use an interactive thematic map.
