Data Update | Job Seekers Allowance

The August 2017 Job Seekers Allowance (JSA) data for Fife is now available to view on KnowFife at datazone level upwards.

This includes figures on JSA claimants by gender, age and duration.

In August 2017, the Fife rate of total JSA claimants is 1.7% which is just lower than the average percent since October 2016. The Fife rate has dropped from 2.4% since April 2016 remaining at 1.7% for the last 4 months. The Scotland rate has dropped from 1.7% to 1.4% since April 2016, remaining at 1.4% for the last 4 months.

Within Fife, one of Fife's seven Area Committees saw a slight increase in the rate from July 2017 to August 2017, two areas saw a slight decrease whilst the other areas remained the same.
