Data Update: Job Seekers Allowance

The April 2017 Job Seekers Allowance (JSA) data for Fife is now available to view on KnowFife at datazone level upwards.

Data for January 2017 is also now available. November and December 2016 data has been updated.

This includes figures on JSA claimants by gender, age and duration.

In April 2017, the Fife rate of total JSA claimants is 1.8% which is also the average percent since October 2016. The Fife rate has dropped from 2.4% since April 2016. The Scotland rate has dropped from 1.7% to 1.5% since April 2016.

Within Fife, four of Fife's seven Area Committees saw a decrease in the rate from March 2017 to April 2017, one increased whilst the other two remained the same.
