Data Update: Job Seekers Allowance

The February 2017 Job Seekers Allowance (JSA) data for Fife is now available to view on KnowFife at datazone level upwards.

This includes figures on JSA claimants by gender, age and duration.

In February 2017, the Fife rate of total JSA claimants has slightly increased from 1.8% since October 2016 to now 1.9%. The Fife rate has dropped from 2.4% since April 2016. The Scotland rate had dropped from 1.7% to 1.4% since April 2016 but has now increased to 1.5%.

Within Fife, four of Fife's seven Area Committees saw a decrease in the rate from December 2016 to February 2017 whilst the others saw an increas.
