SIMD 2009: INCOME DOMAIN REVISIONS
The Scottish Government have today published a revision to the income domain of SIMD 2009 due to the provision of incorrect tax credit data by HMRC and that, as a result, both the income domain and overall SIMD 2009 would have to be revised.
The income domain data in the KnowFife Dataset has been updated accordingly, and revised briefing papers will follow at www.fifedirect.org.uk/deprivation .
The Scottish Government have published a revised overall SIMD 2009 and income domain on their data and analysis pages: http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Topics/Statistics/SIMD/Background-Data-2009.
Three papers have also been published. The first provides headline results using the revised SIMD, the second explains the reasons for the revisions and the third paper assesses the impact of the revisions. All 3 papers can be found on their publications page: http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Topics/Statistics/SIMD/Publications#a1.
They have also published most of the tables contained in the original report. These can be found under the SIMD 2009 Analysis heading on our data and analysis pages: http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Topics/Statistics/SIMD/DataAnalysis. The remaining tables will follow as soon as possible.
Finally, a revised datazone lookup spreadsheet has been published which can be found on the right hand side of the data and analysis page: http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Topics/Statistics/SIMD/DataAnalysis.
