Thematic Maps: Step 1 - Introduction

Thematic Maps are pre-defined collections of indicators based around the themes of the KnowFife Dataset, that can be viewed as tables or interactive atlases. Thematic Maps are a good way of looking across Fife and making comparisons within and between areas. You can choose to view Thematic Maps at a smaller or larger geographic level depending on the level of detail that you require.

If you have suggestions for new Thematic Maps please contact know.fife@fife.gov.uk

To view interactive maps you may need to add support for Flash content to your Internet browser. The best way to check this is by clicking on an atlas icon from the Thematic Maps table on the next page. If you do not get an atlas appearing then the most likely cause of the problem is that you do not have the Adobe Flash Player (version 8 or higher) installed.

You can test your browser support for Flash by clicking on the Adobe Flash version test page.

If you need to install the free Adobe Flash Player 'plug-in' then you can download it from the Adobe web site. If you have any problems doing this please read the Help associated with this page.
